Introduction

Beginning January, 2011, Technical College of the Lowcountry faculty, staff and students will be able to check out a Kindle from the circulation desk of the Learning Resources Center. We have the Kindle (Latest Generation) and the Kindle DX available for circulation. Kindles may be checked out for two weeks, with no renewals.

You may request a Kindle by visiting the LRC in person, calling the LRC at 843-525-8304, emailing us at sbishop@tcl.edu, or chalsey@tcl.edu, or by submitting your request through the Kindle Request Form on this page. Be sure to include your name, email address, and TCL ID number.

You may request one title to be downloaded to the Kindle for you. Visit the Kindle Store to find a title, and indicate the title you want on the Kindle Request Form. Click here to view content already loaded on the Kindles.

The LRC will contact you via your TCL email when your Kindle is available for check-out. Note: If you do not check-out the Kindle within three business days after an email has been sent, your name will be dropped from the list and you will have to place another Kindle request.
